AWS launches Arm-based servers for EC2 cloud computing service

AWS has launched Arm-based servers for its EC2 cloud computing service at its re:Invent conference in Las Vegas, US. These servers are powered by Arm-based AWS Graviton Processors. The company said the first products, called A1, will be sold in the Northern Virginia Ohio, Oregon, and Ireland. At present, the servers are only available for Amazon Linux 2, RHEL and Ubuntu operating systems, but AWS said additional operating system support will be added in the future.
