Axel Springer participates in new funding round with Group Nine Media

German publisher Axel Springer announced it is participating in another round of funding of USD 40 million for Group Nine Media, along with co-investors Discovery Communications and Lerer Hippeau. The additional funds will be used to expand Group Nine Media's video content across its existing platforms among other projects.
