Axtel picks Ericsson for next-generation TV platform

Mexican fixed-line operator Axtel has signed a partnership agreement with Ericsson for the deployment, integration and management of a next generation TV platform. Axtel will deploy various Ericsson TV services, including the MPEG-4 AVC headend for linear and on-demand SD and HD TV channels, as well as the Ericsson Multiscreen TV Solution.
