Azam TV inks sponsorship, broadcast deal with RPL

Azam TV, the pay-TV operator from Tanzania has signed a USD 2.35 million sponsorship and TV broadcasting rights agreement with the Rwanda Premier League. The football tournament will be named Azam Rwanda Premier League after the pay-TV operator. The company will invest USD 350,000 in supporting the league and increase the amount to USD 500,000 in the following four years, Rwanda News Agency reported. Azam TV will be the official broadcaster of the league, which begins on 18 September.
