Azam TV launches in Rwanda

Tanzania-based pay-television provider Azam TV has started operations in Rwanda, New Times reported. It is owned by Tanzania's Bakhresa Group's Azam Media, and could ride on the back of recent increases in subscription fees by StarTimes and Tele10 to make inroads in the local market. StarTimes Rwanda has announced it would increase monthly subscription fees for most of its bouquets effective 01 May, while DStv raised its fees on 01 April.
