Bahrain's Mumtakalat sovereign wealth funds migrates IT infrastructure to Amazon Web Services cloud

Monday 4 June 2018 | 11:06 CET | News
Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), the sovereign wealth fund of Bahrain, says it has successfully migrated its IT infrastructure to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud and has closed its onsite and offsite data centres, reports CpiFinancial.net. The migration is expected to reduce Mumtalakat's costs by more than 50 percent as data back-up, storage and security costs are cut. The migration allows the company to run its servers anywhere in the world, lowering the need to maintain and upgrade hardware, and providing improved security products.
