Baidu gets permission to test autonomous cars on Beijing roads

Friday 23 March 2018 | 14:46 CET | News
Baidu has received permission to test self-driving cars in Beijing, Reuters reported. The move comes after Uber suspended North American tests of its self-driving vehicles after an autonomous car hit and killed a woman crossing the street in Arizona. Baidu can test its autonomous vehicles on 33 roads, or around 105 km in the city's less-populated suburbs, the company said in a statement.
