Bavaria government awards EUR 2 mln subsidy to IoT research consortium

The Bavarian state government has awarded a subsidy of EUR 2 million for a period of three years to the FutureIOT research association for applied research in projects pertaining to smart cities and smart agriculture. The FutureIOT said its primary research goals are the joint development of comprehensive Internet of Things solutions, ranging from sensors to open IoT platforms and including application-specific user interfaces for smart cities and agriculture in areas such as intelligent car parking or emissions reduction.
