Bavaria govt to offer EUR 80 mln in subsidies to improve mobile coverage

German mobile operators O2, Vodafone and Deutsche Telekom have signed a deal with the Bavarian state government on improving coverage in so-called white spots. Under the agreement with the ministry of economic affairs and the council of municipalities, up to 1,000 new base stations will be built by the end of 2020 to improve coverage in under-served areas.
