BEA takes ISPs to court over illegal downloads

The Belgian Entertainment Association has started a lawsuit against the country's biggest ISPs, seeking a court order for the companies to block their customers from downloading illegal content, reports De Tijd. The suit against Telenet, Proximus and Voo was filed in the French-language commercial court in Brussels and seeks a block on nine popular streaming and download sites, including the Pirate Bay and Popcorn Time. The BEA represents producers and distributors of films, music and video games.
