Beeline continues to see challenges ahead as FY sales fall

Russian mobile operator Vimpelcom, working under the Beeline brand, said revenues in local currency declined by 3 percent last year to RUB 281.898 billion. For the fourth quarter, revenues increased by 5 percent to RUB 73.9 billion, with EBITDA down by 5 percent to RUB 27.0 billion, and the EBITDA margin lower by 3.7 percentage points to 36.6 percent. The decrease was primarily due to the negative effect of the depreciation of the ruble against the US dollar, on roaming, interconnect costs and structural OPEX.
