Belarus, Latvia to cooperate on 700 MHz band release

The Belarus Ministry of ICT and Latvia Ministry of Transport have signed a protocol on cooperation on the release and usage of the 694-790 MHz band. They agreed to prepare a draft agreement on technological criteria for the optimal and efficient use of the resource for new-generation mobile services in border areas. The document is necessary in order to avoid network interference in the bands currently used for terrestrial TV services.
