Belgian 2G, 3G spectrum licences extended for 6 months ahead of auction

Belgian regulator BIPT has confirmed an extension of 2G and 3G spectrum licences for Orange Belgium, Proximus and Telenet. These are set to expire 15 March, but the government is still organising the next spectrum auction. As a result, the licences for the 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz bands are extended for six months to ensure continuity of services.
