Belgian children get their first smartphone at 9 years of age - study

Belgian children receive their first smartphone at the age of nine on average, according to a study from Apestaartjaar for 2020 covering Mediaraven, Mediawijs and Imec. This compares to 12 years in 2018, around the time when kids transition to secondary school.
