Belgian constitutional court overturns telecom data retention law

The Constitutional Court in Belgium has again overturned the country's data retention law. The law requires telecom operators to save communications data for a year for eventual law enforcement purposes. The government said it will develop new legislation to preserve the right for police and prosecutors to access the data.
