Belgian govt meets with Facebook on privacy policy

The Belgian state secretary for privacy, Bart Tommelein is holding talks with Facebook on improvements to the social network's terms and conditions. The Belgian privacy commission has accused Facebook of violating the law on personal data protection and drawn up a list of at least 13 problems with the social network's privacy policy, Datanews reports. The state secretary is meeting with the company 18 February to discuss the matter. According to the regulator, Facebook did not respond to its inquiries and the case could lead to a lawsuit.
