Belgian govt wants manufacturers to state device radiation

The Belgian federal government wants to introduce additional rules for mobile devices. It wants manufacturers to state the radiation values of their devices, DataNews reported. According to the EU standards, the SAR values must not pass 2 W/kg. The SAR value must be displayed on the packaging of the mobile device and in its adverts. The rule should apply to manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers. The SAR value is not the absolute value of radiation. There can be more radiation in cases of difficult reception and less during optimal coverage. Other rules will be added at a later date,
