Belgian govt works on easing TV provider switch

Wednesday 17 December 2014 | 16:14 CET | News
The Belgian government is working on ways to make it easier for people to change TV provider, Datanews reports. The minister responsible for the Digital Agenda, Alexander de Croo, wants consumers to be able to change as easily as with mobile services. The new regulation should be in place sometime next year. Services over both DSL and cable will be regulated, in order to ensure competition. Earlier the operator Base said the difficulties for customers to switch provider were one of the reasons it was unable to make a success of its Snow offer on the fixed market.
