Belgian regulator starts consultation on 5G network security rules

Thursday 3 December 2020 | 10:57 CET | News
Belgian regulator BIPT is consulting the bill on 5G network security. In June, the National Security Council, with members from the ministries, police and armed forces and intelligence services, approved a series of additional security measures regarding 5G mobile networks. At the request of Petra De Sutter, deputy prime minister and Minister of Public Enterprises and Civil Service, Telecommunications and Post, BIPT has organised a public consultation on the texts. Comments will be accepted until 30 December.
