Belgian tablet sales up 50% in Jan-Feb

Tablet sales in Belgium rose 50 percent year-on-year in the first two months of 2013 to a total 280,000, according to figures from GfK reported by Datanews. Revenues grew a slower 23 percent due to declining average selling prices. The ASP was EUR 290 in January-February, versus EUR 353 a year earlier. Android accounted for around 60 percent of Belgian tablet sales, followed by iOS and Windows. GfK also reported a drop in mobile phone sales during the period, of 8 percent.
