Belgians spend EUR 2 bln online in Q3

Belgian e-commerce was worth EUR 2.01 billion in the quarter, or 14 percent of all retail sales, according to research by GfK for the industry group BeCommerce. An estimated 71 percent of Belgians bought something online in the quarter, for a total 19.4 million online purchases in Q3. Each buyer spent an average EUR 305 in total and EUR 103 per purchase. Online sales accounted for 60 percent of all services and 7 percent of products sold in the period.
