Belgium asks Facebook to delay new privacy terms

Thursday 29 January 2015 | 15:10 CET | News
Belgium's Privacy Commission has formally asked Facebook to delay the introduction of its new terms and conditions, Belgian media reported. The data protection regulator is critical of Facebook's new privacy policy and wants to investigate it more closely. The criticism centres around Facebook asking users to transfer commercial rights for photographs and other material. The Privacy Commission said it may yet take legal action. Criticism has also come from Belgian Parliament. Dutch privacy regulator CBP has started its own investigation into the matter.
