Bell to launch LTE-M network

Saturday 3 June 2017 | 06:42 CET | News
Bell will launch in 2018 a LTE category M1 (LTE-M) network to support the rapidly increasing use of IoT devices on low-power, wide-area networks (LPWANs) in Canada. Bell completed LTE-M trials and deployments with pilot customers. Bell LTE-M will also play a key role in the Bell MTS Innovations in 'Agriculture program' at the University of Manitoba announced earlier during the 29 May-4 June week. The programme will provide students with opportunities to develop IoT technologies for application in agriculture and food science, a critical component of the Manitoba and Canadian economies.
