Berec: competition remains top priority

EU telecom regulator Berec held its latest plenary meeting in Bern and discussed the most important issues for the market in the next five years. The feedback from the national regulators that make up Berec will be shared with the European Commission as it prepares for a review of the EU telecoms regulatory framework and possible new legislation to support the digital single market. Prior to Berec's meeting, it held a workshop on the rise of oligopolies, with presentations from regulators and industry groups from countries that have recently undergone consolidation.
