Berec starts work on net neutrality guidelines

EU telecoms regulator Berec has started work on developing guidelines for the new net neutrality legislation passed in November. The legislation requires Berec to formulate guidelines within nine months, by the end of August 2016. As an initial step in its work, Berec is meeting 15-16 December with a number of stakeholders to gather views, including ISPs, equipment manufacturers, content and application providers, end-users and consumers, and civil society representatives. Berec said it's seeking views on four specific areas: the kinds of traffic management practices that will be allowed
