Best Buy stops selling Kaspersky software amid national security fears

Monday 11 September 2017 | 08:40 CET | News
US retailer Best Buy said it will stop selling internet security software products from Kaspersky Lab, amid fears the Russian company could have links to the Russian government, Minnesota's Star Tribune reported. Following media reports, congressional testimony and industry discussion, Best Buy felt there were too many unanswered questions, a source familiar with the decision said. The company has not conducted its own investigation. Kaspersky software continues to be sold through its own website and through other retailers such as Target, Walmart.com, Amazon.com and Staples.com.
