Deutsche Telekom, Tele2, M7 Group, Fiber Nederland and De Nederlandse Energie Maatschappij are among the companies interested in acquiring Vodafone Netherlands' fixed activities, according to reports from Dutch paper De Telegraaf and Bloomberg. Vodafone is required to sell the activities as part of the conditions for regulatory approval of its joint venture with cable operator Ziggo. The fixed activities, which counted 123,000 customers at the end of June, have reportedly attracted bids of over EUR 100 million. Sources familiar with the matter said final bids are due by the end of October.
