Big tech critic Khan confirmed as new FTC chair

Lina Khan was sworn in as the new chair of the Federal Trade Commission, the US's main competition and consumer regulatory body. She was nominated in March by President Joe Biden and received support from both Democrats and Republicans in the Senate's confirmation. Known for her critiques of big technology companies like Amazon, the law professor is expected to lead efforts to rein in the dominance of large internet platforms.
