BIPT consults on Telenet, Voo wholesale offers in Brussels

Belgian regulator BIPT has approved cable operator Telenet's reference wholesale offer in Brussels. The draft decision is open for public comment until 13 October. Regulations passed in 2011 require Telenet to offer access to its network for other operators offering analogue and digital TV and broadband. Telenet's original reference offer submitted in February 2012 was rejected by the regulator. In December the company presented a completely new proposal for the technical implementation. The first proposal was based on IP tunneling, with the modem of the alternative operator receiving its own
