BIPT finds 3 MVNOs violating prepaid registration rules

Friday 9 June 2017 | 11:01 CET | News
Belgian regulator BIPT announced that it found several operators in violation of the prepaid registration rules in its first check since the mandatory registration took effect on 07 June. The MVNOs Lycamobile, Ortel Mobile and Vectone Mobile were unable to show they had identified correctly the owners of all their Sim cards. The judicial police have filed a complaint with the prosecutor on all three companies. BIPT said it also found one operator that had not completely blocked all unregistered SIM cards, but the operator immediately took action to correct the matter.
