Belgian regulator BIPT has decided to limit the blocks of 0800 numbers issued to operators to 100 numbers rather than 1,000, due to the diminishing supply. Each application will be limited to a maximum two blocks, and operators must have used 85 percent of their previous allocations before applying for new numbers.
The decision follows a consultation held earlier this year. It will take effect from 01 February 2020.
