Bitkom says cloud computing up 11 percentage points in 2016

The number of German companies using cloud computing has surged over the past year, a Bitkom survey has shown. Bitkom found the number of companies accessing the cloud for software, memory or computing power has risen by 11 percentage points from 2015 to 2016. Overall, 65 percent of companies in Germany now use the cloud in some capacity. Private cloud computing was used by 44 percent of companies in 2016, up from 38 percent the year prior.
