Bitkom urges targeted state funding for existing strengths to boost German digital sovereignty

German digital economy association Bitkom has called for targeted public funding to reduce Germany's excessive dependence on imports of digital technology. It referred to a survey of more than 1,100 companies with 20 or more workers in different sectors, in which 95 percent of respondents said they wanted more domestic digital sovereignty.
