BlackBerry files lawsuit against Typo Products

BlackBerry announced it has filed a lawsuit against Typo Products. Typo, founded by entrepreneur Laurence Hallier and TV host and media personality Ryan Seacrest, recently announced plans to launch a new Typo Keyboard in January. The complaint against Typo alleges patent infringement and that Typo's iPhone keyboard case designed to slip on to iPhone devices copies BlackBerry's keyboard design. BlackBerry believes that Typo's keyboard violates BlackBerry's intellectual property rights. The lawsuit has been filed in the Northern District of California.
