BlackBerry, Ford extend expand software partnership

BlackBerry and Ford Motor Company have extended their existing cooperation and will together now develop software for automobiles, expanding the use of BlackBerry's QNX and security software. The deal signifies an acceleration in BlackBerry's pivot from hardware to software while supporting the automaker's goal of developing connected and eventually self-driving cars.
