BlackBerry opens BBM for Windows beta to all comers

Saturday 12 July 2014 | 17:03 CET | News
All Windows Phone users can now apply to trial the BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) app for Windows Phone at the BlackBerry BetaZone. The service was previously restricted on an invite-only basis. The company said in a post, "We've gotten an incredible number of requests for BBM to come to Windows Phone. In the coming weeks we'll be ready to welcome millions of Windows Phone users to the growing BBM community." Beta testers must be prepared to report bugs, respond to surveys and provide feedback. The free BBM app has been available for iOS and Android since last year.
