BMW acquires Parkmobile app

Monday 20 June 2016 | 15:53 CET | News
BMW has acquired the mobile app developer Parkmobile, based in the Netherlands. While no financial details were disclosed, the Dutch business channel RTL Z reported that Parkmobile sold for a few tens of millions of euros. Parkmobile allows drivers to pay for city parking when they arrive and leave a spot; Parkmobile collects a service fee. BMW aims to integrate Parkmobile in its own range of connected car services. The service will remain open for all users, regardless of their brand of car.
