BMW interested in car sharing service to rival Uber

BMW is looking to compete with Uber in Europe. BMV chairman Peter Schwarzenbauer told Spiegel Online that the carmaker could envisage further expanding its carsharing platform to support ride sharing. This could exploit the company's DriveNow platform, which is operated with car rental company Sixt and active in Germany, Denmark, the UK, Sweden and Austria.
