BnA plans auction for mobile spectrum by end-2014

Monday 7 July 2014 | 11:20 CET | News
Germany's Federal Network Agency (BnA) announced that it wants to act quickly to ensure that rivals get quick and easy access to 900/1800 MHz spectrum controlled by the merged Telefonica Deutschland/E-Plus group. It wants to hold an auction process for frequencies in these bands by end-2014. This is to provide the necessary resources for mobile broadband as soon as possible and to ensure a discriminatory-free allocation of spectrum.
