BoF wants extensive transparency over traffic management

The Dutch digital rights group Bits of Freedom has sent an open letter, calling on providers and authorities to be transparent about issues concerning traffic management. The Ministry of Economic Affairs is working on transparency obligations. BoF has recommended extensive obligations, which means that providers and government bodies must give insight into the software, ports and protocols on which the measures will run. The parties should indicate when the measures apply, and whether there are regulations covering data limits or congestion. P\arties must also fully disclose the overbooking
