Bolivia launches VoD platform to boost local movie production

A new video-on-demand (VOD) platform designed to promote local Bolivian cinema productions has been launched in the South American country by the filmmakers Ariel Soto and Alvaro Olmos, reports El Pais. The state-supported OTT portal, dubbed BoliviaCine, features an initial 50 titles, including films, short films and documentaries, with new titles to added every month and an app in development. Films can be rented for 48 hours or purchased at a cost USD 3-5 via any device with a web browser, said the report.
