Bolivia will switch off its analogue signal across the country's highest-populated regions in late 2019, reports local daily Jornada, citing the director of communications regulator ATT. "The analogue switch-off in La Paz, El Alto, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz is expected to take place in November 2019," said Roy Mendez, adding that TV stations are in the process of adapting their technology to migrate to DTT. A total of 1,100 radio and TV frequencies have already been migrated, said the regulator, with satellite technology also ready to be employed to reach the most rural Bolivian communities.
