Bonnier buys out Telenor's 35% stake in C More Entertainment
Bonnier said it has bought out Telenor's 35 percent stake in C More Entertainment, with effect from 27 June. Casten Almqvist, C More chairman and head of the broadcasting business area at Bonnier, said this will create full freedom of action for Bonnier when identifying the best possible structure and direction for C More, and for coming up with an optimal way of exploiting and developing C More's very strong rights portfolio. Almqvist said that will be the task for its new CEO, Manfred Aronsson. Bonnier acquired C More via the TV4 Group in 2008 and Telenor has held 35 percent of the company since 2009.
