Botswanan govt puts contract to get 61 villages online out to tender

Botswana has put a contract to design, supply, instal, commission, operate and support internet and backhaul connectivity in 61 villages out to tender, ITWeb reported. The project aims to enable the public sector to provide services to the public and businesses efficient, and reform the education system with a focus on building human capital towards a knowledge-based economy (KBE). Kagiso Boikanyo, secretary of the tender committee at the Ministry for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, said the scheme is part of the government's approved digital transformation
