Bouygues Telecom loses court case against Free over roaming agreement with Orange

Tuesday 5 March 2019 | 11:38 CET | News
A Paris court has rejected the case brought by Bouygues Telecom against Free to seek damages of EUR 718.5 million over unfair competition and practices, reports Les Echos. This legal action was part of a wider campaign waged against its rival in 2015, when Bouygues Telecom asked the French government to intervene in the case. The dispute originates from the 2G/3G network roaming agreement that Free signed with Orange ahead of its launch as a new market entrant in 2012.
