French operator Bouygues Telecom said that its enterprise division has chosen IBM as a strategic partner for a new co-innovation initiative, designed to help B2B clients assess the potential of 5G for their business and develop new use cases. As part of the 'Open Lab 5G' scheme, Bouygues Telecom will offer a '5G kit' for the rapid installation of test sites within business premises. Clients will also benefit from the 'IBM Garage' approach to quantify the opportunities coming from new 5G applications across different sectors, ranging from manufacturing to smart cities.
