Bouygues to launch LoRa-based national M2M network in H2

French mobile and broadband operator Bouygues Telecom has announced plans to launch France's first commercial low-power LoRa ("Long Range") M2M IoT network in June. Working with Cycleo, the French firm that developed LoRa and was acquired by Semtech in 2012, Bouygues started trialling the technology in Grenoble in November 2013. It ran tests for 16 months with enterprise customers and international partners Semtech, Sagemcom, Eolane, Adeunis and Kerlink.
