BPIFrance invests EUR 23 mln in Parrot-led LTE group

French government investment vehicle BPIfrance is contribution EUR 23 million to support the 'Futur Equipment LTE Integre avec virtualisatioN' (FELIN) connected objects development project, reports La Tribune. Up to 10 French SMEs launched the 3-year research project in November 2014. The project has a total budget of EUR 56 million to develop ICs and new generation equipment for 4G connected objects around the world, in particular for the automotive industry. According to Xerfi data, the French connected objects (IoT) market will be worth EUR 500 million in 2016, and the 10 SMEs have joined
