Brazil antitrust recommends approval of Oi Movel sale with restrictions

Thursday 4 November 2021 | 15:32 CET | News
Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) recommended the approval, with restrictions, of the sale of Oi Movel to TIM, Claro and Vivo, reports Agencia O Globo. The draft opinion said that the transaction could receive regulatory clearance if the companies adopt some restrictions to mitigate the competition effects from the decrease in the number of mobile operators on the market. The opinion of the General Superintendence now must be considered by regulator's college for a final opinion.
