Brazil grows to over 230 million mobile users in October

The Brazilian mobile telephony market continued the positive trend in October, with the number of users increasing to 230.2 million from 228.3 million the previous month, Anatel reported. That's equal to a 95.5 percent penetration rate. Postpaid accounted for 50.4 percent of the total, and prepaid stood at 49.6 percent, while 4G accounted for 73.2 percent of lines and 3G for 15.0 percent.
